Side-to-Side Weight Shifts

  • Gently move your weight across the foot

  • Keep the movement controlled

  • 20 repetitions

Great for improving balance and foot stability.


Resistance Band Foot Strength

  • Use a band to work foot movements (inwards, outwards, lifting up)

  • 20 repetitions each direction

Targets key stabilising muscles that support the arch.

Calf Stretch

  • Back leg straight: 1 minute

  • Back leg bent: 1 minute

  • Moderate intensity stretch

Tight calves are one of the biggest contributors to foot pain.


3. Choose the Right Footwear

Footwear plays a huge role in recovery.

General recommendations:

  • Wider toe box (allow toes to spread naturally)

  • Lower heel drop

  • Enough support for your current condition

If you’re already in pain, jumping straight into minimalist shoes is usually a bad idea.
